K Sports appoint Barry Morgan and Darren Hare as their new management team
K SPORTS have appointed Barry Morgan as their new manager, while Darren Hare comes in as his assistant manager.
Morgan’s previous managerial role was at Southern Counties East Football League First Division side Rochester United, parting company with the club in December 2018.
Morgan was in charge of the Rede Court Road outfit for 19 games and left them in the bottom five, having collected four wins and two draws from their 14 league outings at the time.
Hare, 54, meanwhile, was Andy Hessenthaler’s first-team coach at National League club Dover Athletic in his previous role until leaving Crabble in November 2020.
“The club have a great set up with youth teams running all the way through the age groups to the under 23s and first-team,” said Morgan.
“I’m really happy to be coming aboard with the hugely experienced Darren Hare coming in to help me coach and manage the lads.
“The committee here really want us to bring the youth through and we’ll be happy to oblige when they are ready and able.
“Another part of our remit will be to stabilise the team in the Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division.
“Our knowledge and experience will help attract the experienced players we will need to do that.
“I’d like to thank the committee for bringing us on board. Hopefully, we can build something to be proud of.”
The 2019-20 and 2020-21 Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division campaigns failed to finish owing to the coronavirus health pandemic.
Morgan and Hare replace Paul Atkins, who stepped down from the manager's role last month.
