We have got a big game tomorrow against a very strong Beckenham side, says K Sports boss Barry Morgan
K SPORTS manager Barry Morgan says he is expecting an eye-catching FA Vase tie against Beckenham Town tomorrow.
The artist formerly known as Aylesford Paper Mills among other team names, welcome Jason Huntley’s side to Cobdown for a First Qualifying Round tie.
K Sports are standing in 12th place in the Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division table, having banked seven points from their five league outings.
Beckenham Town, meanwhile, are unbeaten in the Combined Counties League Premier Division South table, having banked 13 points from five games and are five points adrift of leaders Badshot Lea, who have played a game more.
“We have got a big game tomorrow against a very strong Beckenham side, who are up the top of the Combined Counties League,” said Morgan.
“I think they will play their usual passing game but you never know. If they play their normal way, I would expect it to be a reasonable game to be at for the spectators.”
K Sports suffered a 3-0 defeat at Chatham Town on 30 August and Morgan said: “Our last time out was a disappointing defeat away at Chatham. We applied ourselves well. I’m not unhappy with the lads for that one, being a brand new team.
“We’ve not had a bad start to the season and hopefully there’s plenty of room for improvement here.”
