K Sports boss Kris Browning: Only two years’ ago we didn’t have a ground to play at and now we find ourselves in The FA Vase

K SPORTS manager Kris Browning says his club is buzzing ahead of making their FA Vase debut tomorrow.

The artist formerly known as Aylesford Paper Mills make the trip to play Colliers Wood United in the First Qualifying Round.

Colliers Wood are in the top four in the Combined Counties League Premier Division – a level higher than K Sports – while K Sports are in fifth-place in the Southern Counties East Football League First Division table.

Browning said: “The club can’t wait for Saturday to come.  Only two years’ ago we didn’t have a ground to play at and now we find ourselves in The FA Vase.  The club is buzzing!

“So many people have put in so much hard work over the last two years to keep the club going. Regardless of the result on Saturday, we will enjoy the occasion.”

The Paperboys have collected 13 points from six games and are three points adrift of leaders Snodland Town, with a couple of games in hand.

Browning takes his side to second-placed Lydd Town next Wednesday.

“We have had a decent start to the season but like most clubs they could say the same thing.  We will do our best to keep up there and see how it goes.

“The league is very open and you could put money on most teams in the league having a good go at gaining promotion.

“But that’s how it should be with so many club’s working hard to get their grounds up together to play at this standard. It’s great for the League and should be a good season for everyone.”
