KINGS HILL have appointed former Ashford United manager Danny Lye and his assistant Shaun Holland as their new management team tonight.

The Andreas Carter Kent County League Premier Division club are in eighth-place in the table, having recorded six wins and two draws from their 11 games.

Manager Kane Rice and assistant manager Simon Austin have both resigned and Lye and Holland have taken over the helm at Beacon Hill.

Chairman Ian Bull told “Danny and Shaun are well known to Kent football followers after winning promotion as the management team that led Ashford United to the Isthmian League last year.

“We would like to place on record our thanks and gratitude for the hard work of Kane and Simon over the last couple of years.

“They both played a major part in helping the club reach the Kent County Premier League for the first time this season and wish them well for the future.

“The club are delighted to welcome Danny and Shaun.  They bring a wealth of experience to the club and we are delighted that they have agreed to join Kings Hill.

The new management team will officially take over next week after Saturday’s home game against league leaders Staplehurst & Monarchs United.
