Coronavirus Crisis: The Public Liability and Personal Accident policies will not provide cover for any footballing activities for the foreseeable future, says insurance companies
UKGLOBAL, providers of Public Liability and Personal Accident insurances policies to affiliated Kent FA clubs, have issued the following statement in relation to cover during the postponement of grassroots football.
Coronavirus, COVID-19 – County FA Public Liability and Personal Accident Policies
As a direct response to the Government guidelines and The FA statement of 16 March 2020:
“'Following the Government’s announcement, for people to avoid social contact and gatherings where possible, we are now advising that all grassroots football in England is postponed for the foreseeable future, to reduce social contact and avoid gatherings”
The Public Liability and Personal Accident policies will not provide cover for any footballing activities for the foreseeable future, said the insurance company.
“UKGlobal will continue to monitor the ongoing situation and follow the advice and guidance provided by the Government and The FA,” added the statement.
“As the policies remain in force, and will immediately respond should the situation change, there will be no pro-rata refund of premiums.
“All staff at UKGlobal are continuing to work and will be available by email or telephone should you require any assistance during this period.”
