Joe Ford: Sevenoaks Town boss Micky Collins launches fundraising page

Saturday 22nd June 2019

SEVENOAKS TOWN manager Micky Collins has launched an internet fundraising page for Joe Ford, who has been hospitalised since falling seriously ill on Friday 29 March 2019.

Ford, who was the manager of Southern Counties East Football League First Division side Sporting Club Thamesmead at the time, has been hospitalised with sepsis and Collins and his wife Louise have set up a fund raising page to support Ford and his family during these tough times.

Collins said: “I've started a fundraising campaign for Team Joe.  Please tap to donate to help raise some funds for Joe Ford’s recovery.  Let’s get the football community to push this on.

“This page is set up for the bravest person I’ve ever known.  Joe Ford was struck down by sepsis 84 days ago and subsequently has battled for his life and now he has to face further battles ahead.

“His family has been by his bed side every day so if we can raise much needed funds to help Joe in his future recovery it might make his recovery quicker, which is all that we want for him, so please give what you can.”

Collins, who has just celebrated his fifth anniversary in charge of Isthmian South East Division side Sevenoaks Town, has set a £5,000 target.
