It's not all about me, insists award winning manager
Erith & Belvedere’s new management team of Paul Gorman and Chris Cosgrove have tonight been awarded the Kent League manager of the month award for December, writes Stephen McCartney.
The accolade, which is sponsored by Deal based sports firm Jacetts, came as a surprise to Doncaster born Gorman.
“I feel really proud to receive this award and I would like to thank the Kent League committee for being so generous as to award it to me,” the former Greenwich Borough man told www.erithandbelvederefc.co.uk.
“But this award is not just about me. Chris and Gary (Davies) have worked just as hard as I have since we arrived at the club but we couldn’t have achieved this without the players.
“They have worked extremely hard and responded to us when all we have really done is let them go out and express themselves.
"We are not at this club to bring accolades to ourselves. We want to bring the best out of our players and ultimately, take this club further up the Non-League ladder.
"My thanks go once again to the Kent League, the directors, staff and players and of course the supporters of Erith & Belvedere Football Club who have been very supportive of us since we took over and we look forward to continued success."
