Ide Hill announce groundshare deal with Sevenoaks Town
IDE HILL secretary Keith McGinn has announced the club will play their home games at Isthmian League South East Division side Sevenoaks Town for the rest of the season.
The Magpies are currently in fourth-place in the Andreas Carter Kent County League Premier Division table with 27 points from their 16 league games and have another 14 league games left to play this season.
The club are seven points adrift of leaders Staplehurst Monarchs United, who have a couple of games in hand.
Ide Hill have confirmed they will be looking to progress up to the Southern Counties East Football League First Division in the near future but they will need to have the facilities in place longer term to progress.
“Ide Hill have struck a deal to groundshare with Sevenoaks Town for the rest of the season,” said McGinn.
“We appreciate the opportunity offered by Sevenoaks Town and are excited to be able to use their excellent facilities.
“This move is another indication of how far we’ve come as a club.
“We hope we can attract some of the local support from Sevenoaks Town to watch our home games as we try to grow our club from Step Seven.”
Ide Hill play their first game at Greatness Park this coming Saturday, 4 January 2020 when Fleetdown United visit for a 14:00 kick-off with the entrance price set at £3, including a match-day programme.
The Dartford-based side sit in eighth-place in the table with 16 points from their 14 league outings.
