Monday 12th May 2014
HYTHE TOWN have unveiled their new chairman tonight.

Trevor Kennett, the former of chairman of their Ryman League Division One South rivals Herne Bay, will bring a wealth of football experience to Reachfields Stadium.

“I am personally very much looking forward to being part of the new Hythe Town family and to a positive Ryman League campaign next season,” Mr Kennett said in a brief statement issued to www.hythetownfc.co.uk.

Mr Kennett’s first job will be to find the successor to the club’s most successful manager Scott Porter, who resigned on 6 May 2014 after finishing their campaign in eighth-place in the table.

A club statement added: “The club have been delighted with both the volume and quality of applicants for the vacant position of first team manager and fully expect to make an appointment early next week.”
