Holmesdale confirm venue switch for Cray friendly

Tuesday 08th July 2008

CRAY WANDERERS’ visit to Kent League side Holmesdale on Thursday evening is in jeopardy, warns the home club’s commercial manager late tonight, writes Stephen McCartney.

Ian Jenkins' side were expecting to play their Kent League neighbours at Holmesdale’s home ground at Oakley Road, Bromley, (kicking off at 7:15pm) but Simon Kidby, speaking to www.kentishfootball.co.uk , has warned that the pre-season friendly may be switched to another venue.

He said: “At the moment the game is going ahead. However, the contractors installing the floodlights have severely damaged the pitch so the fixture may have to be moved to an alternative venue.

“I will know more in 24 hours and of course keep you informed.”

Holmesdale were forced to cancel their first friendly last Saturday as Vandanel Kent County League premier division side Bly Spartans were unable to field a team.

STORY UPDATE - WEDNESDAY 9 JULY 13:00
