Andy Constable makes a hard decision to leave his player-coach role at Holmesdale

Monday 20th July 2020

HOLMESDALE striker Andy Constable has made a hard decision to leave the Bromley based club.

“Made a hard decision to leave my player-coach role at Holmesdale today,” said Constable in a statement.

“Loved my time at the club and have made some proper friends here.

“Wish everyone at the club all the best for the coming season.”

Lee Roots’ side were in third-place in the Southern Counties East Football League First Division table but their campaign was declared null and void after The Football Association brought the season to an end after the country was hit by the coronavirus health pandemic.

However, The Football Association has said The FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round is planned to kick-off on TUESDAY 1 September 2020.

Last season’s FA Cup Final between Arsenal and Chelsea is taking place behind closed doors at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 1 August 2020.

The Southern Counties East Football League could kick-off on Saturday 5 September 2020 but nothing has been confirmed by League officials.

Holmesdale kick-off their pre-season campaign with a trip to Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division side Punjab United on Saturday 1 August (15:00).
