We will look to continue the momentum we have built, says Holmesdale boss Lee Roots
HOLMESDALE manager Lee Roots says he wants his side to build on their early season momentum.
The Bromley-based outfit are in seventh-place in the Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division table having won three and lost three of their opening six league outings since being promoted.
Holmesdale welcome Sean Muggeridge’s Crowborough Athletic to Oakley Road tomorrow, a side in 12th place in the table with one win and three draws from their opening five league games.
“We are very much looking forward to this weekend’s game against Crowborough Athletic,” said Roots.
“They have been well established within this league for some time now, so we fully expect a well-organised and motivated opposition.”
“Our last two games across the Bank Holiday weekend saw us gain an excellent 3-1 victory at home to Bearsted, followed by a very narrow 1-0 defeat at Erith Town.
“What was really pleasing for us as staff to see the application of the players, results and the tightness within the squad from month one of fixtures and we will look to continue the momentum we have built into this weekend’s game and beyond.
“As always we are very grateful to our fans and supporters for their support and thankful for the continued work of our committee, board members and chairman behind the scenes.”
