Hollands & Blair part company with manager Simon Halsey

HOLLANDS & BLAIR have parted company with first-team manager Simon Halsey.

The Gillingham-based club are in the bottom six in the Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division table, having collected four wins and two draws from their 15 league games.

Halsey was appointed manager on Sunday 19 April 2019 and has previously managed at VCD Athletic, Herne Bay, Lordswood, Fisher, Whitstable Town and Ramsgate.

Hollands & Blair beat Holmesdale 2-0 at Darland Avenue on Saturday after back-to-back league defeats to Welling Town and Chatham Town (both losing by a single goal).

In nineteen games this season, Hollands & Blair have won six and lost 11 in all competitions.

“The club would like to thank Si for everything he’s done for the club and wish him and his family well moving forward,” said a brief club statement.

“Chairman Paul Piggott will look after first-team matters as caretaker manager.”

Hollands & Blair travel to midtable side Crowborough Athletic on Saturday (15:00) and are currently seven points clear of the relegation zone.
