Hill goes under the knife

DEAN HILL is set to undergo a operation within the next week to clear a groin problem, writes Justin Allen.

The Dover Athletic defender should be fully fit for pre-season and raring to go for the club's first campaign in the Blue Square South.

Boss Andy Hessenthaler, speaking to www.doverathletic.com, said: "Deano's going to get his groin sorted - and will be having an op to clear that up.

"It's a great time for players to sort out niggles and injuries. He should have no problem being fully fit for the new season. He certainly will be back with us for pre-season."

Talks are continuing with potential new signings.

Hess said: "It's a bit quiet at the moment but I am talking to various people."
