Herne Bay boss Sam Denly appoints coach Steve Nolan

Saturday 11th June 2016

HERNE BAY manager Sam Denly has appointed Steve Nolan as his new coach.

Nolan was previously at Ryman League Division One South clubs Ramsgate and Hythe Town and Denly told the club website that he is delighted to have got his man.

“I am delighted to announce that Steve Nolan will be joining my management team for the 2016-17 season,” said Denly.

“Steve is a fantastic coach and will join myself, Gavin Theze and Mick to complete the management team.

“Steve will work closely with the players in a coaching role alongside Mick.

“To have someone with Steve’s experience at this level of football will only benefit the players and everyone connected to the club.

“I would like to welcome Steve and look forward to working with him.”

Herne Bay completed their Ryman League Division One South campaign in eighth-place last season.

They open their pre-season campaign with a trip to Leatherhead’s training facility on Tuesday 19 July.  The Tanners are managed by Mike Sandmann, who guided Dover Athletic to the Academy title with victory over Leatherhead.
