We're looking forward to the challenges ahead as we try to get as many points as possible, says Greenwich Borough boss Gary Alexander

GREENWICH BOROUGH boss Gary Alexander says he’s looking forward to experiencing home comforts when Chatham Town visit tomorrow.

The club are now in the top five in the Ryman League Division One South table on 16 points from 8 games – six points adrift of league leaders Tooting & Mitcham United with a game in hand.

“It’s nice to be back on home soil after a lot of travelling over the past week with a Tuesday night fixture at Ramsgate but we had a nice journey home with three points,” said Alexander said following his side’s 3-1 win on the Kent coast.

“It’s a big week coming up with two home games starting tomorrow with a tough game against a well-organised Chatham side. We’ll have to be at our best to continue our run.  I have a fully fit squad to choose from which is good for us.”

Alexander has today added former Canvey Island centre half Luis Morrison, who has featured on TV reality programme Love Island.

“It will be the first time this season playing Luis Morrison, who will give us strength in a number of positions, so really looking forward to the challenges ahead as we try to get as many points as possible.”

Chatham Town arrive at the DGS Marine Stadium in 18th place with six points from nine games and Tony Beckingham’s side are a couple of points above the relegation zone.
