We need to keep up our hard work and good form to avoid relegation, says Greenwich Borough joint-manager Steve O'Boyle
GREENWICH BOROUGH joint-manager Steve O’Boyle says every game between now and the end of the season are big as he bids to avoid relegation.
The club are rooted to the foot of the Bostik South East Division table, having banked 24 points from their 28 games.
O’Boyle and Steve Sallis have been in charge for seven games and after failing to beat Whitstable Town (0-0); Ramsgate (1-3); Phoenix Sports (0-1) and Faversham Town (1-4) in their opening four games in charge together, Greenwich Borough have turned the corner with an unbeaten run of three games.
Greenwich Borough pulled off a shock double to beat Hythe Town 2-0 on 16 February and then came away from play-off chasing side Haywards Heath Town with a goal-less draw and beat East Grinstead Town 2-0 at Middle Park Avenue last weekend.
The Borough travel to Three Bridges tomorrow, a side that are three places and four points higher up the table.
“We have been in good form lately with seven points from our last nine, also keeping three clean sheets in a row,” said O’Boyle.
“Saturday’s game is a very big game, but all games now until the end of the season are big.
“We need to keep up our hard work and good form to avoid relegation.”
