Glebe manager Gary Alexander makes Jamie Philpot his first signing

Tuesday 17th September 2019

GLEBE manager Gary Alexander has made striker Jamie Philpot, 22, his first signing since taking over.

Alexander replaced Peter Sweeney on Friday 6 September 2019 and took charge of his first game at the weekend, a 3-0 win at K Sports in The Buildbase FA Vase Second Qualifying Round.

Glebe chairman Rocky McMillan said of last night's signing: “Glebe welcomes Jamie Philpot.  Jamie has played at higher levels including Millwall and Dartford.

“Jamie is excited about the plans Gary Alexander has for the team and in return we are delighted to have a player of Jamie’s quality.”

Glebe host bottom-of-the-table Punjab United at Foxbury Avenue tonight (19:45) sitting in ninth-place in the Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division table with nine points from five games.

Punjab United – who ended Loxwood’s interest in The FA Vase on Saturday with a 3-2 home win at the Elite Venue – have lost all of their opening five league games of the season.
