FOREST HILL PARK have appointed Lee Roots as their new manager tonight.

The 34-year-old former Chipstead (Kent) and Holmesdale manger has taken charge of the Ladywell Arena based club.

“I am delighted to announce that I have accepted the position of Forest Hill Park’s first team manager,” said Roots.

“I would like to personally thank the chairman and the committee for all their full support.

“We have set our goals and targets for the upcoming season and I am very much looking forward to the start of pre-season and getting down to work.”

A club statement added: “Lee Roots has great managerial experience and has excellent knowledge within this division, having recently been Holmesdale manager last season.

“We are very fortunate to be in a position to appoint a manager and management team who have had success at this level and who will take Forest Hill Park Football Club onto the next stage in our journey.”

Roots will bring with him a backroom staff consisting of Adam Porter, Pete Nolan, Mike Tison and Alex White.

Roots guided Holmesdale to a top-eight finish in the Southern Counties East Football League First Division table, while Forest Hill Park finished in the bottom four.
