Assistant manager Chris Lynch leaves Folkestone Invicta due to increased work commitments
FOLKESTONE INVICTA have confirmed the departure of assistant manager Chris Lynch due to increased work commitments.
Lynch joined as Andy Drury’s assistant manager in December 2023.
“It has been my privilege to represent this great club over the past year and I’m leaving with some great memories – one particular highlight being that 3-2 win against Dover at Crabble earlier on in the season.
“What a night that was! I’m proud we could give you amazing fans a night like that to remember,” said Lynch.
Folkestone Invicta chairman Josh Healey said in a statement:” Chris has been an instrumental part of our journey over the past year.
“On behalf of myself and the board of directors, I’d like to sincerely thank him for his valuable contribution and commitment to the club.
“We wish him nothing but the best in his next chapter.”
The former Sittingbourne manager was in the Cheriton Road dug-out for the final time on Tuesday night, when Drury’s men climbed up to ninth-place in the Isthmian League Premier Division table with a 2-1 win over Dulwich Hamlet.
The scoreline completely flattered Hakan Hayrettin’s men.
Folkestone Invicta welcome second-from-bottom side Bognor Regis Town tomorrow.
