Monday 15th July 2019

FOLKESTONE INVICTA manager Neil Cugley has unveiled the signing of Jerson Dos Santos.

The 28-year-old wideman or striker spent his early days with Charlton Athletic, Crystal Palace and AFC Wimbledon before dropping down to play for several non-league sides and a couple of Icelandic club’s too.

“I’m really delighted that Jerson has signed,” Cugley told www.folkestoneinvictafc.co.uk.

“I tried to get him last season but he opted for Carshalton Athletic instead.  He is an experienced player who holds the ball up well and will be a welcome addition to the squad.

Dos Stantos has recently played for Sevenoaks Town, Hythe Town, Margate, Carshalton Athletic and East Grinstead Town.

Cugley’s men have played three pre-season friendlies so far this season as they prepare for their Isthmian League Premier Division campaign, which begins with a home game against Worthing on Saturday 10 August (15:00).

Invicta have lost 3-2 to Dover Athletic, drew 1-1 with Maidstone United and lost 4-0 to Gillingham and play their first away game of the season when they travel to Faversham Town tomorrow night.
