Floodlight collapse causes postponement

Tomorrow’s Kent League clash between Erith & Belvedere and Faversham Town at Park View Road has been postponed, writes Stephen McCartney.

Severe storms and gale force winds during the week have caused a floodlight pylon at the park end of the Welling United side of the ground to fall onto the pitch.

Safety fears have caused the game to be postponed as there was still glass on the pitch.

Both sides had met at Park View Road in midweek with the Deres winning 2-0 to finish at the top of the Group B as both sides reached the last eight of the Kent League Cup.
