Fleet ladies washed out

Monday 13th February 2006
Only two league fixtures survived the weather conditions yesterday with rain stopping play for everyone else involved in the London and South East regional league. Fleet ladies will be back in league action next sunday away to Crowborough Athletic ladies

Gravesend and Northfleet Ladies have been running girls coaching sessions over the past month and are delighted with the current uptake of places.

So far around 20 girls off various ages are attending the quality coaching sessions provided by female qualified coaches to help improve the standards of players, offer fun and fitness and get more gilrs involved in the game as Fleet ladies look towards starting junior sections this summer.

Fleet ladies and girls coordinator Tina Martin said: " We are very pleased with the take up of these new sessions for girls but would encourage more to come along and get involved, at only £1.00 per session it is very good value for money and even if players are attached to clubs they can use the sessions for extra training and fitness."

If you would like to know more about the new girls club details and sessions then please have a look on the ladies website www.intheteam.com/gravesendladiesfc
or email Fleet.lfc@blueyonder.co.uk  or you can contact Tina 07732148011.

You can also come along to our monday night coaching centre at Swan Valley community school, swanscombe 4.00 - 5.15, if this time is a problem please contact the club to discuss.
