Mid-table was the aim and would be a great achievement for us this year and we’ll keep working hard to pick up as many points as we can, says Fisher boss Dean Harrison
FISHER boss Dean Harrison says he is pushing towards mid-table this season.
The Fish travel to Erith & Belvedere on a four match unbeaten run and sit in thirteenth-place in the Southern Counties East Football League table, having won seven, drawn four and lost 11 games in the league.
Hosts Erith & Belvedere are having a poor season by their standards and sit one place lower, having collected six wins, six draws and 10 defeats.
“We know it will be a tough game tomorrow and a different test from last week’s game against Rochester, which was not one for the football purist,” said Harrison, ahead of the Park View Road clash.
“John Wilfort’s doing a great job at Erith & Belvedere and it showed in their result last week against Byron Beard’s Holmesdale, who’s another young manager putting together a good footballing side at this level.
“Hopefully it will be an entertaining game of football for the neutral and we’ll be looking to take at least a point home to Rotherhithe with us.”
Harrison is delighted that he has turned around fortunes at the club and is targeting a higher-than-normal finish.
He said: “Mid-table was the aim and would be a great achievement for us this year and we’ll keep working hard to pick up as many points as we can.”
