Saturday 13th June 2020

FISHER manager Ajay Ashanike has appointed a new assistant manager as he prepares for his second season in charge of the club.

Luke With will be Ashanike’s right-hand man in the dug-out at the Rotherhithe-based outfit next season.

Fisher were sitting in 12th place in the Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division table at the time of the coronavirus pandemic that brought football to a halt in March.

“Trust in this game is key,” said Ashanike.

“Luke With has been with me from 2012 when I first took over Tower Hamlets FC.

"Luke's been next to me and always supported me in everything that I do.  I'm glad to share this journey with him now he can't play anymore.

“I trust him to share this journey with him and to work hand in hand to make this club a great club.

“The young lads will learn a lot from him and this will benefit us.”

Meanwhile, Fisher have appointed Ashley King as their new head coach, replacing James Clark, who has left the club to take up a coaching role at National League South side Chelmsford City.

The Southern Counties East Football League have not yet confirmed when the 2020-21 campaign will get underway but their league rivals Erith & Belvedere report back to pre-season training today, while First Division sides Kent Football United and Stansfeld have already reported back for pre-season training.
