FC Elmstead announce the departure of manager Ennio Gonnella
FC ELMSTEAD have confirmed the departure of their manager Ennio Gonnella.
“The club can confirm that manager Ennio Gonnella has resigned from his role as first-team manager,” said the Southern Counties East Football League First Division club.
“Ennio took the club to its best ever finish in the Southern Counties East Football League in the 2019-20 season.
“We wish him well and look forward to seeing him soon back in the dug-out.
“The club will issue a further statement on the vacant manager’s position in two to three weeks.”
Yesterday, league rivals Kent Football United announced the departure of their management team of James and Lloyd Bradley and confirmed that they will announce their new management team on Sunday.
FC Elmstead were sitting in the bottom three in the table after eight league games before the Southern Counties East Football League First Division was curtailed.
However, the 2021-22 campaign is going to kick-off on Saturday 31 July 2021, when FC Elmstead, who hire Sutton Athletic's Lower Road ground in Hextable, will be under new management.
