Faversham Town boss Ray Turner plays the waiting game to add three new faces to 37-man squad

Saturday 28th June 2014
FAVERSHAM TOWN manager Ray Turner has confirmed his 37-man squad ahead of the club’s opening friendly.

The Lilywhites kick-off their seven match pre-season campaign with a home game against Championship outfit Millwall in two weeks’ time.

Turner told www.favershamtownfc.co.uk: “I am delighted to today confirm that midfielder George Monger has signed from Dartford and Dean Grant has returned from Herne Bay for the forthcoming season.

“These players will be joining last season’s first team squad, new players and a very talented group of young players looking to break into that squad and represent the club at under 21 level for the season ahead.”

Turner says he hopes to bring in three more players, who have played at a higher level of football.

“I can also confirm that I am currently tracking three players from higher level of football, who will add gloss to an already strong and competitive squad,” said the Faversham boss.

“I may have to be patient with those deals, which are likely to happen later in the pre-season schedule.”

Faversham Town finished in tenth-place in the Ryman League Division One South table last season.
