Faversham Town appoint John Embery and Jermaine Darlington as joint-managers
FAVERSHAM TOWN have appointed John Embery and Jermaine Darlington as joint-managers tonight.
The Isthmian League South East Division outfit have been without a manager since James Collins left Salters Lane to manage Essex side Bowers & Pitsea.
The pair were together at league rivals Herne Bay and played an attractive style of football whilst in charge at Winch's Field.
“After an extensive process, following 26 applications and a number of interviews, the club is thrilled to announce the new appointment,” said a club statement.
“John and Jermaine come to the club with extensive experience in coaching and managing following professional careers as players.
“They share the same vision for the club and have a proven track record of developing young talent and creating a pathway into the first team and that is something the panel were impressed with. The club wish them both every success.”
Embery added: “Myself and Jermaine are delighted to have been given the opportunity work with this great club and we can’t wait to meet the players’ and fans.
“We are looking forward to the season ahead playing a style of football that you will hopefully enjoy.”
The Lilywhites finished in 12th place last season.
