Faversham Town now needs its supporters more than ever as Isthmian League club bid to raise £5,000 online

FAVERSHAM TOWN are the latest Isthmian League club that have set a £5,000 online fundraising target to make ends meet during the coronavirus lockdown.

A club statement said: “Faversham Town Football Club is at the heart of our community, proudly representing the town at semi-professional level in the Isthmian League, as well as running youth teams for local boys and girls.

“The clubhouse at Salters Lane also provides a valuable meeting place and hub for community events such as birthday parties and christenings.

“Faversham Town now needs its supporters more than ever.  With the coronavirus crisis bringing all football to a sudden, unexpected halt, the club must survive without income from matches or events.

“Money is vital to prepare the pitch for the coming season, settle the monthly bills that enable the club to continue and pay the fees to enter the League next season.

“If you can show support by making a donation of any size, it will help to keep this historic club working within our community and ensure that the players – both adults and children – run out wearing the white and black kit next season.”
