Fans raise funds for Dartford

Friday 10th March 2006
Dartford supporters have launched their second E Bay auction to raise funds for the Southern League club, writes Stephen McCartney.

The auction will be running for ten days and readers of www.dartfordfootballclub.co.uk  will be hoping to raise more than they did last season.

The items include the first match ball to be used by the club at their impressive Princes Park Stadium next season as well as the last one ever to be used by the Darts as a nomadic club.

There is also a chance to win the first season ticket at Prices Park.  Other items are some signed football shirts, DVD’s and videos.

One of the best lots is a rate 1936 Dartford
home match day programme, which is in great condition for its age, and has already attracted two bids.

Organiser Gregg Keattch said: “Dartford
fans want to help their club go back to the borough on a better financial footing and this auction is just one of the many ways Darts fans have helped to achieve this.”

Bottom-of-the-table side Potters Bar Town visit Stonebridge Road tomorrow, 3pm.
