FA CUP FIRST ROUND DRAW: EBBSFLEET UNITED HIGHLIGHTS TO BE SCREENED ON ITV

Tuesday 26th October 2010
EBBSFLEET UNITED’S FA Cup First Round tie away to Blue Square Bet Premier side AFC Wimbledon has been selected by ITV as one of its three highlighted games, writes Stephen McCartney.

The Kent club will receive a fee of £6,750 for the Kingsmeadow clash, scheduled for 6 November.  Had it been shown live the participating clubs would have pocketed £67,500 each.

The Fleet's relationship with ITV goes back to the second qualifying round when victory over Cray earned the club the right to be featured in the channel's Road To Wembley feature. Highlights from the Fleet's four games in the competition so far were shown live on national TV during the FA Cup draw.

ITV's main featured game, broadcast live, is Southport v Sheffield Wednesday. Cable channel ESPN will also select two games for live broadcast.

Club secretary Peter Danzey advised fans that "ITV may ask for an earlier kick-off if they consider the floodlights at the ground not satisfactory for their cameras. As it stands at the moment the kick-off is still 3.00pm and I will advise as soon as that is confirmed."

Admission prices for Kingsmeadow are:
Seating: Adults £14 Concessions £7 Under 16 £3
Terraces: Adults £10 Concessions £5 Under 16 £2

The replay if applicable will take place at Stonebridge Road on Tuesday 16th November, kick-off 7-45pm.
