Ex Bromley boss returns to K's

Monday 22nd May 2006

Former Bromley manager Stuart McIntyre has been appointed head coach of Ryman League Division One South outfit Kingstonian, replacing Ian McDonald.

McDonald was appointed just over a year ago with the prime task of turning the team around from the depths of despair to a well performing Ryman Division One team.

K`s are very proud that he achieved this along with winning the Surrey Senior Cup at Woking, and consider his skills to be of Conference level and have wished him all the best in his next appointment.

Meanwhile, the club have announced that McIntyre has been appointed as head coach, and will take on all first-team managerial duties as of immediate effect.

K`s are keen to put an emphasis upon the development and improvement of their footballers, whilst creating a sustainable and seamless internal structure.

Former K’s player Adrian Withers has been appointed as one of the assistant coaches in the new set-up, and will also oversee the under-18’s team next season.

McIntyre, 45, was a youth team player with Kilmarnock before moving south. His association with Kingstonian dates back ten years, and as reserve team manager he guided both K`s and Woking sides to championship titles.

He was appointed manager of Bromley in October 2001 before returning to the K’s as first-team coach in March 2005.
