Erith & Belvedere secretary Alan Heath quits the club to join Meridian VP's management team
ERITH & BELVEDERE begin the search for a new club secretary after losing Alan Heath, who has left the club to join Meridian VP’s management team.
The Deres are in fourth-place in the Southern Counties East Football League First Division table, having collected four wins and a draw from their opening five league outings.
Owen Jones’ side welcome Premier Division side Rusthall in The FA Vase First Qualifying Round next Sunday, 2 September.
Meridian VP, meanwhile, are third-from-bottom in the table and the Charlton-based outfit have won just one of their six league games and have Kent Football United and Phoenix Sports Reserves below them in the league pecking order.
“I have now resigned fully from Erith & Belvedere to take up a role in the management team at Meridian VP to help my friend Canturk Yanpar,” said Heath on Twitter.
“I wish the Deres all the success and sure I will be dropping in from time to time as I was made so welcome and will always have a place in my heart.”
An Erith & Belvedere statement added: “Erith & Belvedere FC would like to thank Alan Heath for all his hard work and dedication he has given us over the last couple of seasons.
“Alan has decided to leave his post as Deres secretary to take up the role of assistant manager at Meridian VP. We wish Alan every success.”
