Ebbsfleet United postponed three games after positive Covid-19 tests among some players and support staff
EBBSFLEET UNITED have been notified of positive Covid-19 tests among some players and support staff at the National League South club.
As a result, the club have taken the decision, along with the League, to postpone their next three games.
A club statement said: “Following these Covid-19 events, the playing squad and staff have entered a 14-day period of self-isolation, taking the advice of Public Health England and the League Medical Officer.”
Saturday’s game away to Dorking Wanderers and the trip to Slough Town on 1 December and the home game against Concord Rangers on 5 December have all been postponed.
The Stonebridge Road outfit added: “We continue to be guided by Public Health England and National League protocols in this period.
“As a result of this latest development, club-shop collections for any shop orders will cease during this period. You can continue to order online for postal delivery – if you have any questions around your orders, do email info@eufc.co.uk but please be aware that we may take longer than usual to respond under the circumstances.
“As ever, we thank our fans for their understanding and unwavering support this season and as has been the case throughout recent events, we look forward to resuming as soon as it is safe and practical to do so.”
League rivals, Welling United announced a similar situation last Friday, which caused their next four games to be postponed.
The Fleet are currently in seventh-place in the table with 15 points from their opening nine league games, seven points adrift of leaders Dartford.
