Dover receive planning permission for new clubhouse

Saturday 30th June 2007

Dover Athletic have received planning permission to go ahead with plans to build a new clubhouse, writes Justin Allen.

Construction work, after relevant funding has been raised, is expected to begin at the end of next season (early-summer 2008).

The new facility will be longer and wider than the current Centre Spot clubhouse.

Chairman Jim Parmenter said: "Getting planning permission is excellent news and now it is imperative that we all concern our efforts on raising the necessary funds to give fans a much more comfortable facility which we will all be proud of."

Next week www.doverathletic.com will carry full details about the new facility and hopefully release drawings of the plans.
