Dover re-sign main sponsor

DOVER ATHLETIC was celebrating this week following an announcement that car dealer Perrys had renewed its sponsorship for a further season.

This followed the club’s promotion from the Ryman Premier to the Blue Square South league last month.

Perrys’ regional director Graham Knell made the announcement at a presentation night at the club’s Centre Spot entertainment and conference centre:

“In our first year as official main sponsor of the Dover Athletic Football Club it has been our privilege to witness a truly sensational season,” said Mr Knell in a statement to www.kentishfootball.co.uk.

"We’ve seen the opening of the magnificent new Centre Spot, enjoyed regular attendances of over 1,300 supporters at the Perrys Crabble Stadium, and witnessed the Whites’ back-to-back promotions from the Ryman 1st Division to the Ryman Premier League, and now to the Blue Square South.

“It’s been a heart-warming experience for Perrys to sponsor such a successful football club, which won the league by an astounding 22 points setting an outstanding record for the League.

“Working with the Club’s commercial team has been both rewarding and enjoyable and Perrys is looking forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship.”

Club director Roger Knight added: “We are delighted that Perrys has agreed to continue its sponsorship with Dover Athletic FC.

“Graham Knell has been extremely supportive and the links forged between the Club and Perrys are superb for both parties. We are looking forward to continued success next season and Perrys will be playing a big part.”
