Dockers praised for staging Womens International

Friday 24th February 2006

International football came to Kentish Observer League club Erith Town for the very first time seven days ago.

The Dockers, currently bottom of the table, hosted the behind closed doors under-21 international between England women and their counterparts from USA.

After falling behind early on, England struck back with two second half goals to record a 2-1 victory.

“FA officials praised the facilities and Erith Town Football Club for hosting the match” said a statement issued on www.erithtownfootballclub.co.uk.

The Dockers will be hoping to improve on their six point tally when they tackle third from bottom side Sevenoaks Town at the Erith Sports Stadium, Avenue Road, Erith tomorrow.
