Dockers claw themselves of foot of table

Sunday 12th March 2006

Erith Town clawed themselves off the foot of the Kentish Observer League table thanks to a 1-0 victory at Kent Senior Trophy finalists Tunbridge Wells yesterday.

The only goal of the game came courtesy of Rob Browning and their third win of the season has lifted the Dockers above Sevenoaks Town and to within two points of Greenwich Borough and Sporting Bengal United.

Their next game is at home to league leaders Maidstone United next Saturday, 18th March.

Erith Town’s second string completed a good double for the club with a 3-0 victory over Deal Town, which should guarantee their division one status for next season.

Meanwhile, John Adams, who was part of the Sevenoaks Town management team, working with Gary Davies and Brian Meaney earlier in the season, has returned to the Dockers as Peter Little’s number two.

The club have also welcomed back John Ravenscroft, who will work with the second team.

“We wish both men a successful end to the season,” said a statement on their website.
