I am sure the players will give it their best shot and hopefully that will be enough to take us through, says Deal Town boss Derek Hares
DEAL TOWN manager Derek Hares says his players will give it their best shot to reach the next round of The FA Vase.
The 2000 winners welcome 1986 runners up Southall to The Charles Sports Ground in the Third Round tomorrow.
Deal Town are sitting in tenth-place in the Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division table with 21 points from 15 games, while Southall arrive on the Kent coast sitting in ninth-place in the Combined Counties League Premier Division table with 25 points from their 15 games.
“We’re looking forward to tomorrow’s FA Vase game at Deal. Hopefully there will be a good-sized crowd there to cheer the boys on,” said Hares.
“Southall look to be a strong side, who I am sure will provide us with a stiff challenge but our home form has been good this season and if we can produce our best form I am confident that we are capable of winning the game.
“This competition is always an exciting one for teams at our level, especially for us at Deal with our history in the competition.
“If we do win tomorrow the competition goes national in the next round but we will concentrate on tomorrow’s game first.
“Everyone at the club is looking forward to the game, as always and I am sure the players will give it their best shot and hopefully that will be enough to take us through.”
