Like all teams at this level we would like to have a good run in The FA Vase, says Deal Town boss Derek Hares

DEAL TOWN boss Derek Hares prepares his side to play Glebe for the third time tomorrow.

The two sides met at The Charles Sports Ground in The Emirates FA Cup Preliminary Round and Deal fought back from being 2-0 down to earn a replay, only to lose that 3-0 in Chislehurst.

The two Kent outfit's meet again at Foxbury Avenue tomorrow, this time in The FA Buildbase Vase First Qualifying Round.

Glebe go into the game on the back of a 4-0 win at Banstead Athletic, courtesy of Adrian Stone’s hat-trick, to book a home tie against Bostik South side Phoenix Sports in The Emirates FA Cup Second Qualifying Round next weekend.

Ben Young’s side are in fifteenth-place in the Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division table with a win and a draw in their five league outings, while Deal Town lie in the top six with three wins and a draw from their six league games.

“We play Glebe for the third time already this season.  We know that we are in for a very difficult game,” said Hares.

“We go into the game after an excellent win against a strong Whitstable side on Tuesday.  Overall our form has been good. We have a young side so we know we’ll have some ups and downs.

“Like all teams at this level we would like to have a good run in The FA Vase as I have said we have had a difficult start but one we are looking forward to.

“Because of our history in winning this competition it always creates interest.

“There are some very good sides in our league so let’s hope that some of us can go through to the latter stages.
