Our aim has been to beat last years' points total, says Deal Town boss Derek Hares

Friday 08th April 2016

DEAL TOWN manager Derek Hares says he is targeting a better points total than last season.

The Kent coast outfit are sitting in 12th place in the Southern Counties East Football League table with 38 points from 31 games and they host seventh-placed Cray Valley at The Charles Sports Ground tomorrow.

Hares said: “We have just five games left to play, two at home and three away.  Our aim has been to beat last years’ total of 46 points. We now have 38 with 15 points to play for.

“Tomorrow’s game will be a difficult one against a Cray Valley side who have had some good results of late.

“We will have most people available but Andy Miller could miss the game with the ‘flu.

“I am sure the game will be a good one with both sides trying hard to win the game.”
