Friday 21st February 2020

DARTFORD manager Steve King has sent striker Charlie Sheringham out to Leatherhead on dual-registration terms.

The 31-year-old has left the Vanarama National League South club to sign for a Leatherhead side that are in tenth-place in the Isthmian League Premier Division table with 46 points from 28 games, nine points adrift of the play-offs.

“Delighted to get a player of Charlie’s experience and ability, would like to place on record thanks to Dartford FC for enabling the signing to happen,” said Leatherhead manager Nikki Bull on the club website.

A Dartford statement added: “We can confirm that Charlie Sheringham has joined Leatherhead on dual registration.

“This will allow Charlie the opportunity to play on a regular basis and stay match fit.  He will then be available for us when required towards the end of the season.”

Leatherhead travel to 12th-placed Bowers & Pitsea tomorrow, while seventh-placed Dartford welcome sixteenth-placed Eastbourne Borough to Princes Park.

The Darts have collected 46 points from their 30 games and are three points clear of Hampton & Richmond Borough in eighth.
