Dartford sign Alex Flisher: Having had a couple of seasons away from the National League South we are keen to see Alex in this environment again and him showcasing all of the good attributes that he has
DARTFORD joint-manager Adam Flanagan have unveiled the signing of former Margate attacker Alex Flisher.
The 27-year-old midfielder or striker spent four successful seasons at Maidstone United and spent the past two seasons at Bostik Premier Division side Margate.
“We are excited to announce that Alex Flisher has signed for the club,” Flanagan told www.dartfordfc.com.
“Alex won several promotions while at Maidstone United and most recently has been playing for Margate.
“He made contact with us a couple of weeks ago and expressed an interest to play at a higher level again next season and after discussions we were able to agree a deal.
“Alex started on the wing while at Maidstone and in recent years he has played as a striker for Margate, so this flexibility will provide us with options within the squad.
“Having had a couple of seasons away from the National League South we are keen to see Alex in this environment again and him showcasing all of the good attributes that he has.”
Dartford now have 13 players tied down ahead of next season.
Luke Allen, Sam Blackman, Tom Bonner, Flisher, Ben Greenhalgh, Ryan Hayes, Lee Noble, Andy Pugh, Charlie Sheringham, Mark Smith, Ronnie Vint, Luke Wanadio and Jordan Wynter have all signed for the Darts.
Flanagan added: “The squad is now taking shape and we hope in the next few weeks there will be two or three more players coming in to strengthen the squad even further.”
Meanwhile, Dartford's Vanarama National League South rivals Dulwich Hamlet, have lost the services of winger Anthony Cook, 29.
"I'm proud to have worn the famous pink and blue. However, I am unable to commit to the clubs training schedule due to other commitments," said the former Ebbsfleet United and Bromley winger.
