Daish: We can't afford to keep part-time players

Gravesend and Northfleet manager Liam Daish says the club's current financial position prevented him for keeping some of their most influential players.

In the last two weeks they have released 11 players including Jay Saunders, Andy Drury and Jimmy Jackson.

Daish told BBC Radio Kent: "The club's made a decision to go full-time and that means full-time players.

"Those three lads couldn't give up their jobs and we can't afford to keep players on a part-time basis."
