Gravesend & Northfleet manager Liam Daish was delighted to celebrate his first year in charge of the Stonebridge Road club with a 2-0 win at Kidderminster Harriers yesterday.
Goals from Onome Sodje and Andy Drury ended Kidderminster’s run of four Nationwide Conference matches without defeat and celebrated a year since Daish’s appointment.
He told the Non League Paper: “It is always good to win away from home and today’s success was thoroughly deserved.
“The players worked very hard, we set out nice and strong and we could have had a couple more goals.”
The Fleet boss was particularly pleased with his back four and striker Mark Rawle, whose on loan from rivals Woking.
“Although we were missing a couple of players today I thought the back four were tremendous and Mark Rawle was a constant threat up front.
“It was a good, honest, professional display and Luke Moore could have made it three.”
Daish, whose side tackle Accrington Stanley at Stonebridge Road in their next game on Friday night, added: “We’re on a bit of a run now. We have a good, young and honest side with a good team spirit and I’m sure there’s more to come from these players.”
