CROYDON begin the search for a new manager tonight after Craig Davies decided to step down after only 11 games in charge of the struggling club.

The Trams are rooted to the foot of the Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division table, having lost all seven of their league games.

The club have won only one game and that was a 3-2 after-extra-time win at Tunbridge Wells in The FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round Replay at Culverden Stadium on Tuesday 14 August.

“After consideration I’ve decided to step down as manager of Croydon,” Davies posted on his Twitter account.

“Tough job from the off and not worked how we wanted it to.”
