We are still finding our feet in the league, says Croydon head coach Dickson Gill
CROYDON head coach Dickson Gill says his side are still finding their feet in the Southern Counties East Football League.
The Trams have lost all of their six league games but have beaten Sutton Common Rovers (5-1), Tunbridge Wells (2-1 at home after a 1-1 draw at Culverden Stadium) and Molesey (1-0) in The FA Cup and travel to Ryman Premier League side Brentwood Town in the Second Qualifying Round on 26 September.
Croydon, though, will be aiming to pick up their first points of the season when they travel to Lordswood tomorrow, before hosting Fisher at Croydon Sports Arena on Monday night.
“We are still finding our feet in the League,” said Gill, whose side finished third-from-bottom in the division last season.
“We had a very slow start due to not having a regular team.
“We are still building a team after changing leagues.
“We’ve still got a few key players to come into the side. I am sure we will be ok when we are at full strength.
“It’s not a true position of us in the league. We will soon be picking up points and move up the table.”
