Cray Wanderers secure their biggest ever victory

CRAY WANDERERS have confirmed that Bromley Council have given approval for their new stadium at Flamingo Park in Chislehurst.

The planning committee voted 11-3 on Tuesday evening to support the Bostik South club’s application to build a 1,300 capacity stadium just of the A20 Sidcup Bypass.


VERDICT:  Cray Wanderers are coming home!

First team manager, Tony Russell tweeted: “Great scenes tonight, still the matter of Sadiq Khan (London Mayor) to deal with.  Proud to be part of Cray Wanderers and well played (chairman) Gary Hillman.”

Assistant manager Joe Vines added: “Unbelievable news! To go through this several times and finally get the go ahead is a massive moment for Cray Wanderers.  So proud to be a part of the club during this time.

“Well done to Gary Hillman and the gents you have surrounded yourself with, absolute credit.  Brilliant to get this project off the ground and give Cray Wanderers a permanent home. Exciting times ahead.”
