Corinthian sack manager Keith McMahon on the back of a surprise victory at second-placed side Larkfield & New Hythe

Monday 26th January 2026

CORINTHIAN have sacked manager Keith McMahon this morning after only 36  games in charge of the club.

The Gay Dawn Farm outfit issued a 62-word statement this morning – despite claiming a surprise 3-2 win away to second-placed side Larkfield & New Hythe on Saturday in what turned out to be McMahon’s final game in charge of the club.

“Corinthian FC can confirm they have parted ways with first team manager Keith McMahon with immediate effect.

“We would like to thank Keith for his efforts whilst at the club and wish him well for the future.

“Corinthian FC will provide further updates regarding the first team management position in due course.  As always, your continued support of the team is appreciated.”

Working without a budget, McMahon has guided the Longfield based outfit to a respectable fifteenth-place (bottom five) position in the ninth-tier Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division table, having picked up 25 points (six wins, seven draws and 11 defeats) from their 24 games.

McMahon who won 10, drew 11 and lost 14 of his games in charge of the club, said: “Thank you to the players and my staff for all your hard work and loyalty as I didn’t get the chance to say goodbye.

“We built one really good changing room and with only 11 defeats out of 24 League games with no budget whatsoever and finishing with Saturday’s result, was brilliant.”

The Hoops are 12 points clear of the relegation zone – which contains Stansfeld and Hythe Town, who sacked their manager Darren Beale after failing to win any of his nine games in charge.

The Billings’ family have time to appoint their new manager as their side doesn't take to the field until Saturday 7 February, when Andy Constable brings his Holmesdale side to Gay Dawn Farm.

The Bromley-based side are presently in seventh-place in the table, two points adrift of the play-off zone.

Whitstable Town are top of the pile on 57 points, 11 points clear of Larkfield & New Hythe but beating Tony Reid and Fraser Walker's side away from home proved not to be good enough for the club and McMahon became the second manager to lose his job since the final whistle on Saturday.

McMahon took over from Michael Golding, who stepped down from the role after 10 years in charge at the end of last season.
