Obviously winning the league was an amazing feeling especially with my local club, says Bromley fans' favourite Jack Holland
BROMLEY versatile player Jack Holland says winning the Vanarama Conference South title was a highlight of 2015.
The Ravens are playing in the Vanarama National League for the first time in their history after winning their first league title for 54 years back in April.
Holland has featured at right-back, central defence and up front for Mark Goldberg’s side this season and is a fans’ favourite at Hayes Lane.
Bromley threw away a 2-0 lead to be held to a 2-2 draw to big-spending Eastleigh on Boxing Day, before beating Dover Athletic.
“It was disappointing to let a lead like that slip,” Holland told www.bromleyfc.tv/site.
“However, coming up against a team like Eastleigh, who are a top five team and gaining a point just shows how good we are and that we are more than capable of competing against the best in the league.
“We knew the (Dover) game was going to be a tough one and I think every player did their part to get the result we needed. It’s also nice to have helped the team with a goal.
“The fans have been amazing again this year, and on behalf of the team I’d like to thank every fan for their continued support at home and especially away games, you really do make a difference!”
Bromley travel to Eastleigh for the return fixture on Saturday, with the Ravens sitting in thirteenth-place in the table on 37 points from 26 games.
Goldberg’s men are nine points adrift of fifth-placed Dover Athletic and 13 points clear of the relegation zone.
“Eastleigh away is always a tough place to go but again I feel we have a squad that can match any team in this league with every player fighting for each other,” said Holland
With the last game of 2015 now out of the way, Holland revealed his favourite moment of the year.
“Obviously winning the league was an amazing feeling especially with my local club and having my family at the last home game of the season to see us lift the trophy after years of supporting myself and the team made it very special!
“Again, another thank you to all of the fans and people behind the scenes at the club for everything so far this season!”
